Bunches of Joy at Newstead Abbey: August 2026

To celebrate the August Bank Holiday, we decided to make the most of the end of summer by spreading floral joy at Newstead Abbey!

The team at Newstead Abbey very kindly let us set up our stall in the café courtyard on Friday 28th August. We'd originally planned to go the day before, but the heavy rain and thunderstorms meant we had to postpone! Luckily for us, Friday morning was warm, dry, and some blue sky even peeked out from behind the clouds.

Armed with 50 bouquets of Summer Cascade, our friendly team spent the morning handing out flowers and Sunflower seeds to the Abbey's visitors. It was a delight to meet so many lovely people (and some very sweet dogs), who were all very pleased to receive free flowers! We hope that each and every person enjoys their beautiful blooms.

We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who chatted to our Bunches of Joy Team during the event. We'd also like to give special thanks to the Newstead Abbey team, who were so welcoming and helpful throughout the morning. We had a wonderful time, and were very pleased that we gave away the flowers in time to avoid the torrential rain that arrived in the afternoon!
