Wreaths have been decorating homes since ancient Egypt. From awards in the original Olympics to Christmas decorations, the wreath has a rich and varied history. We love wreaths at Bunches, which is why we were pleased to start offering them in our dried flower collections.

But one of the things we had to consider when we introduced this range was what to do with dried flower wreaths. Traditionally wreaths are hung on the front of your door, but it’s important that your dried flowers don’t get wet (which, with UK weather, makes hanging them outside a bit risky!)

While you can use your wreath outside if you really want to (but bear in mind it will greatly shorten its lifespan) there are a few other ways you can display your wonderful dried floral wreath.

Because of their long life, instead of putting your wreath on the front of your door, why not hang it up inside? Whether on a door or a wall, a dried flower wreath is an eye-catching and beautiful decoration. It’s as simple as putting up a wreath on your door, and will add a burst of natural beauty to the room.

You can also use a wreath as a table centrepiece. Whether you want to spruce up your side table or decorate your dining room, placing one of our dried flower wreaths on a table will undoubtedly bring delight to your home.

If you’re eager to have your dried wreath outside, make sure that you place it under a covered, shady area with low humidity. You can also place it outside for a short amount of time and then bring it back inside so you can enjoy it for longer.

Dried flowers are not only beautiful, but a sustainable choice, which is why we’re thrilled with our new collection at Bunches. Remember though, while dried flowers last a long time, they are fragile and delicate. Touch them as little as possible, avoid getting them wet, keep them out of direct heat such as fireplaces/ovens, and to prevent the beautiful colours from fading, avoid direct sunlight and wind.
