This means that whenever you buy flowers or gifts from us, you are making a difference to someone’s life.

One of our charity partners who we have worked with for many years is Links, who uses the money donated by you and Bunches to train a local community group, who in turn provide loans to people, enabling them to create their own sustainable mini-businesses. When the original loan is repaid, the money is recycled to give others the same opportunity.

One of these Links initiatives is Families for Pakistan (FFPak), which helped Quasir Waris create his business.

Quasir is 35 and a father of three. He shared his experience with the MED Loan programme in Pakistan:

“I used to work at a LNG cylinder filling station which was located about 6km from our locality. I was introduced to FFPak’s MED training by a friend of mine. I was given a chance to be part of MED training and this proved to be a real turning point in my life.

“During the training’s business development sessions, I realised that there was important work I could do to help my community and do my own business instead of working on a small salary. I used to see women, children and elderly people walking long distances to fill their cylinders with gas. After the MED training, I realised that a filling station can be made within the community and would not only help these people, btu it would be a good opportunity to do my own business.

“I previously lacked the financial resources and did not have enough money to do this business. After the training was completed, I discussed the idea with the MED committee, and they so generously supported me.

“I am now the owner of my LNG filling station, and get really happy when I see that women, children, and the elderly don’t have to walk 6km any more. I am thankful for this blessing and to everyone who is part of MED. I pray that they continue helping the poor.”

It is thanks to you that Quasir and others can improve their lives by offering them a hand up, not a handout. Without our excellent customers, Bunches could not offer as much support to Links and our other charity initiatives.
