Misthy Cee Development Centre, Ghana (2009)

In March 2009, a team of UK Hands Around The World volunteers worked alongside local people on the project at Misthy Cee Development Centre, Ghana. Set up in 2001, this wonderful centre looks after 64 vulnerable and disadvantaged children most of whom are orphans or have disabilities. The project was a great success, and the team helped complete classrooms for younger children adjacent to the accommodation building. Funds received from Bunches which were much appreciated were used for purchasing materials for the centre’s classrooms
