India - Income Generating Project (2011)

Bunches recently invested in two water buffalo (cows) with calves with our partners Links International. The cows and their calves are healthy and some of the milk they produce provides additional nutrition for those living and working at the training centre. The rest is sold on to a local diary. The additional income is being used to provide food and essentials for students at the training centre. A partner on the project states: "The water buffalos is a very profitable and good business... we are selling milk and taking up the expenditure of Samarpan." As for the calves, the cows will be reared for milking and the bulls will be sold on and raise additional capital.
