Bunches on the News!

Thursday, 11th March 2010

Petals

Today has been an exciting (but very busy) day here at Bunches, as we have had a presenter and crew from ITV1's Central News visit our factory in Newstead. They were here to interview our MD Dani and film our talented staff making our beautiful Mother's Day bouquets - Louisa the presenter even tried her hand at making one herself and found it was much more difficult than it looks!

If you live in the Midlands, look out for the feature tomorrow evening on the 'Central Tonight' programme where we will be on at around 6.15pm!

Mothers Day 2010

Tuesday, 9th March 2010

Petals

We're now into our busiest week of the year here at Bunches HQ. We have extended our opening times to cope with the mass of orders and our factory is brimming at the seams with colourful blooms ready to be carefully packed and posted to Mum's across the U.K in time for Mothering Sunday on 14th March.

We will be sending out an incredible 50,000 bouquets of flowers this week, which means a lot of happy Mums, Grandmas and Great-Grandmas this weekend! Bunches has also supplied bouquets to the winner and runner's up in GMTV's 'Britain’s Best Mum' competition running all this week on ITV1, so keep your eyes peeled and you might just see one of our lovely bouquets on the telly!

If you haven't sorted flowers for your Mum yet, remember to order before 4pm on Wednesday 10th March for delivery before Mothering Sunday.

Here is a little peak at our factory this week...

Philippines Housing Update

Thursday, 4th March 2010

Petals

Bunches is helping this Links International project by providing funds for building materials and labour to build 10 new wooden homes in Tondo, The Philippines, providing a new safe and clean living for families who have previously lived in cramped make-shift homes made from plastic bags and recyled rubbish. Below are some pictures from the project where work is now well underway.

Columbia - Children at Christmas

Tuesday, 2nd March 2010

Petals

With donations from Bunches, Links International helped to arrange a christmas party for poor chilodren in Columbia. They enjoyed a meal and games together, unwrapped presents, sang Christmas carols and presented short dramas. It was a great evening with lots of fun had by all as can be told by all the smiling faces in the pictures below taken at the event.

You can read about other Bunches charitable work on our charity page.

Happy Birthday Bunches!

Wednesday, 24th February 2010

Petals

Bunches is celebrating a birthday milestone this week – we're turning 21! According to tradition, this means we've reached maturity and receive the key to the door, so can come and go as we please.  (We're not exactly sure which door this saying refers to, but here's hoping it's the key to George Clooney's dressing room!)

To celebrate our coming of age we will be surprising 21 of our most loyal customers by sending them one of our luxury Platinum bouquets to say thanks for their ongoing support and contributing to Bunches longevity.  We've also had local press visit Bunches HQ to take a few photos of our birthday celebrations.

It's funny how organisations are proud of another year passing; however humans aren't so pleased to be shouting about their age.  I reach the ripe old age of 26 this week and have decided that as the big 3-0 is fast approaching, if anyone asks I'm staying 25 for the next 4 years... at least!
